The following terms and conditions, effective 31st of january 2025, constitute the agreement applicable to the use of the Compare Movers website, as understood between its owner Oolong Media Inc. and the user thereof. By checking the “I accept” icon below any form, you acknowledge having read and accepted all of these terms and conditions. It should be noted that these terms and conditions of use may be modified at any time by Oolong Media Inc. Last update: 31st of january 2025.

Goal of this Website

Compare Movers offers you a service of collecting necessary information and connecting with partners to facilitate access to submissions regarding equipment, products, subscriptions, and more.

Our mission is to save you time and money by allowing you to easily find your service provider who responds to your needs, our priority being to find the best price for you.

Our service includes the following elements:

Offering a 100% free service with no commitment for users
Collecting and distributing information necessary for the preparation of submissions by partners
Obtaining rapid and competitive submissions by avoiding multiple approaches for the user
Providing access to a network of professional partners

What the site is not

First and foremost, Oolong média inc. is not a company registered with the Financial Markets Authority (hereafter referred to as ‘the Authority’), does not offer insurance brokerage services, and holds no title whatsoever in the name of insurance companies or financial products.

Oolong média inc. acts as an intermediary between the user and the partners and is only a tool allowing the collection and transmission of all information requested by all partners in order to enable you to prepare and send a suitable submission.

Furthermore, Oolong média inc. does not offer any recommendation to do business with one partner over another. The choice to do business with a partner following the receipt of a submission depends entirely and solely on the user, and it is up to them to conduct the appropriate checks with the Authority to ensure compliance, legitimacy, and the right to practice of the partner, by consulting notably the registers and information made available by the Authority.

In fact, before signing a contract with any of our partners, it is your responsibility to demand their permission from the Authority and to ask the right questions to fully understand the analysis of your needs.

Finally, although Oolong média inc. makes it possible to connect the user with reliable and reputable partners, and provides their qualifications, prices, works, and services offered, Oolong média inc. is not responsible for any damages resulting from a private service with any of our network partners.

Ultimately, Oolong média inc. is not part of any contractual agreements made between the partners and users and does not guarantee the accuracy of offers transmitted by our partners. Submissions must be validated with them. Moreover, no clauses in the future will hold Oolong média inc., its shareholders, directors, employees, agents, or anyone entitled to act on its behalf, responsible for any obligations related to the fulfillment of brokerage mandates concluded with the partners.

« Compare Movers » is not associated with Facebook Inc., whether it is the site at “facebook.com” or any of its platforms including Instagram, Oculus VR, or WhatsApp. “Compare Movers” has not received and will not receive any endorsement from Facebook Inc. in the future.

Our platform « Compare Movers » provides information that should in no way be taken as real advice coming from professionals in finance, heating and air conditioning, real estate, insurance, moving, etc. Our editors (male and female) seek out information as best they can, but errors may sometimes slip into their texts.

The mission of this platform is quite simple: we connect users who have filled out our forms on our site with our partners in painting, real estate, life insurance, damage insurance, lawyers, appraisers, etc. Our partners hold the appropriate certifications to be professionals in their domain. Our forms that provide users with submissions are completely free and do not commit users to anything.

Information to be Transmitted, Processing Thereof, and Acceptance by the User

In order to provide services, Oolong média inc. collects all necessary information so that partners can develop a submission satisfactory and tailored to the user’s needs. Also, in accordance with these terms and conditions, Oolong média inc. is entrusted with collecting any personal or confidential information necessary via an online form, by phone, or email.

Oolong média inc. reserves the right to refuse any information transmitted by the user when there are reasons to believe that such information contradicts these terms and conditions or infringes upon the rights held by third parties.

Any information transmitted by the user can be modified or removed from the Compare Movers database by sending an email to this effect to admin@soumissionsmaison.com. Oolong média inc. reserves the right to take up to 15 days from the receipt of a request to remove or modify information that is the subject of the request.

The user also accepts that the information entered into the submission request form is collected, transferred, and stored by Oolong média inc. and its partners (according to the number provided by the service) in compliance with the “Privacy Policy” section below.

The information will not be made available to parties other than those mentioned, other than the partners.

By including their phone number on the form and submitting it, the user agrees to be contacted by the partners via phone, email, or text message by Oolong média inc.’s validation team, even if they are registered on the national do-not-call list. The user also agrees to be contacted by the partners by phone, email, or text message to obtain more detailed information necessary for the preparation of a submission tailored to the user’s needs or to conclude a contract. If the partners are unable to contact the user, the latter understands that they will not be able to receive submissions from these partners.

Accuracy of Information Transmitted by the User

The user is at all times responsible for the conformity and truthfulness of the information they transmit through the website. All information must therefore be valid, complete, and up-to-date at the time of transmission; otherwise, they may be subject to the penalties outlined below in the “Prohibited Acts and Sanctions in Case of Non-Compliance” section.

Oolong média inc. has the right, but not the obligation, to review the information submitted by users of this site. Thus, Oolong média inc. disclaims all responsibility concerning the verification of information transmitted by the user and any effects or damage caused following the transmission or use of such information, as more fully detailed in the “Oolong média inc. Commitments and Limitations of Responsibility” section.

Privacy Policy

The confidentiality of information transmitted by the user is important to Oolong média inc. However, by accepting these terms and conditions, the user understands and acknowledges that despite Oolong média inc.’s best efforts, it is impossible to guarantee the success of security measures put in place as well as the confidentiality and security of information transmitted since the Internet is never entirely secure. The user accepts any risks and possible damages related to the transmission of personal information and accepts the application of the section “Commitments of Oolong média inc. and Limitations of Responsibility”.

Intellectual Property and Content

For clarification, the information displayed on the site and any other platform of Oolong média inc. is provided for informational purposes only and has no official or professional value. Therefore, Oolong média inc. does not guarantee the accuracy of the content on its site or any other platform, although efforts are made to keep it updated.

Oolong média inc. reserves the right to modify or remove content from its website or any other of its platforms, at any time, without notice.

Moreover, the content of this website and other platforms, their design, layout, and functionality, as well as the trademarks and images used on the site are the exclusive property of Oolong média inc. and are protected by intellectual property laws. Therefore, Oolong média inc. cannot be held responsible for the choice to do business with one partner over another, or any other consequences of such choices, in any way whatsoever. Thus, Oolong média inc. cannot be held responsible for any products or services sold or any prejudice caused to the user or partner.

Obligations of Users and Partners, Sanctions in Case of Non-Compliance, and Compensation Agreement

Partners and users of the service commit to:

Respect all provisions of these terms and conditions
Respect the legislation in force at all times
Provide legitimate, accurate, complete, and up-to-date information
Not transmit fictitious, vexatious demands or those intended solely to waste time
Not compromise the security, accessibility, or integrity of the site in any way (e.g., malicious software, viruses, etc.)
Not impersonate another person or company without consent
Not violate the rights of Oolong média inc. or third parties, including but not limited to intellectual property rights, privacy rights, publicity rights, etc.
Not use any robot or any other electronic means to collect data.
Not circumvent the protective measures intended to restrict access to any part of the Compare Movers website.

Should the user or the partners commit any act prohibited in such a manner that it constitutes a breach of any of the provisions of these terms and conditions, Oolong média inc. reserves the right:

To restrict or prevent access to its site, its services, and all its platforms, without prior notice.
To engage immediately in any lawsuit or to take any necessary action to end the contravention and seek compensation for damages arising from it. This compensation should cover judicial and extrajudicial fees, verification costs, and other costs and expenses incurred during any such lawsuit, action, or procedure related to the aforementioned.

Compensation Commitment

The user or the partners undertake to indemnify Oolong média inc. and to keep it free from any responsibility, including its shareholders, directors, employees, agents, rights holders, representatives, and other related parties in case of prosecution (including judicial and extrajudicial fees, verification costs, and other incurred expenses) for damages suffered or incurred directly or indirectly from their use of the Compare Movers site or in case of their responsibility in case of a breach of any of the terms and conditions.

Other Provisions

Satisfaction: Oolong média inc. may invite the user to complete a satisfaction survey to convey feedback on the service received from the partners who have communicated with them.

Non-waiver: The silence, negligence, or delay of Oolong média inc. in exercising any right or recourse under these terms and conditions must not be interpreted as a waiver of its rights and resources, and the credit or any available resource necessary for exercising a right or recourse remains valid as long as the conventional or legal prescription period for exercising such a right or recourse has not expired.

Illegality: If any provision on this page is declared null, invalid, or unenforceable by a competent court, this does not affect the remaining provisions of these terms and conditions, which continue to exist and apply.

Applicable Laws and Election: The terms and conditions of Oolong média inc. and their interpretation are governed by the laws of the province of Québec and the applicable federal laws of Canada. The parties agree, for any claim or judicial action for any reason related to these terms and conditions and their interpretation or application, to choose the judicial district of Québec, province of Québec, Canada, as the appropriate venue for the hearing of such claims or judicial actions, excluding any other judicial district that could have jurisdiction over such a dispute according to the law.
